Modules

Modules represent the aggregation and culmination of all of our fabrication capability.

We mobilize our pipe, duct, electrical, and in-house steel fabrication, along with our relationships with steel fabrication partners, and nearly 300,000 sf + of module shop space to modularize significant project elements to maximize off-site manufacture. The result is a safer, more efficient, higher quality construction methodology that will provide additional value to the project while significantly compressing the onsite construction schedule.

Typical Module Opportunities:
  • Truck, Rail, and Barge Transportable Modules

  • Modular Pipe Racks and Galleries

  • Process Modules and Skids

  • Pump and Compressor Modules

  • Equipment Modules

  • Bulk and Raw Material Conveyances

  • High Tech/High Purity Water Processing Modules

How do we pull it off?

  1. Design & Detail: Our in-house engineering and BIM/VDC resources will work closely with the design team to develop a modularized design for specific project elements. These elements will then be modularized segments, inclusive of all mechanical and electrical components, capable of being transported via rail, truck, or barge to the site.

  2. Module Steel: Utilizing in-house resources or trusted steel fabrication and coatings partners we will fabricate structural steel modules. Each module will be designed to facilitate ease of erection at the site and will integrate to the structural design of the facility.

  3. Module Components: Module components will be fabricated in our dedicated pipe, duct, or electrical fabrication shops. Completed components will be optimized for both functionality and field connection, tested in the shop environment, and shipped to our module shops for assembly.

  4. Module Assembly: Our owned fleet will transport completed module components to our modules shops, where they will be installed in preassembled strut or previously delivered structural steel in accordance with the design developed in preconstruction.

  5. Module Installation: Completed modules will be boat-wrapped and transported to the site, where they will be placed using cranes or lifts. After erection, mechanical and electrical connections will be completed, finalizing installation.

Because we have utilized this approach on projects for over four decades, our processes and internal systems are optimized to facilitate modularizing and skidding on every project we perform. We are also able to offer you unparalleled visibility of the process through Stratus, our fabrication, field work packaging and production tracking system, which provides you with real-time statusing of module components and modules through detailing, fabrication, assembly, transportation, laydown, installation, and turnover.
