JH Kelly fabricates and preassembles electrical components in a dedicated fab shop located in Longview and in several other fab shops as part of our OSM program.
The Longview shop includes 20,000 sf of fabrication space, 8,000 sf palletized commodity storage, and 7,000 sf of office space housing our fab shop supervision and a portion of our electrical BIM/VDC team.
All fabrication and preassembly in the shop is meticulously work-packaged for specific work areas on the project site, packaged in custom racking and totes, and clearly labelled to maximize efficiency in the field. Work packages are right-sized to facilitate site logistics and produced in accordance with a production schedule that facilitate just-in-time delivery.
Larger racks and modules are manufactured to Trimble points that tie exactly to site conditions and the model, ensuring proper fit and coordination the first time. Our shop also produces fabricated and preassembled electrical components for use in multi-trade modules and supports the fabrication of skidded equipment
