Project Description

The Norpac Recycled Fiber Plant project is an expansion of the recycled packaging paper capability within NORPAC’s Longview mill that transforms wastepaper into lightweight recycled papers for corrugated boxes, displays, bags, and various other packaging products. New production equipment consisted of a drum pulper that weighed over 500,000 lbs, de-wiring equipment, conveyance, screens, cleaners, clarifier, tanks, gravity drum filters, and process pumps. New infrastructure included auger cast piling and micro pile, 3,712 cubic yards of concrete, 322 tons of rebar, 492 tons of structural support steel and pipe rack, and two MCC buildings constructed in the existing operating mill and adjacent to operating areas. Total lineal footage of process and utility piping was 20,129 feet, with 28,193 diameter inches fabricated in our Longview Pipe Fabrication Shop. Electrical work includes the installation of grounding, lighting, network, cameras, switchgear, transformers, mcc sections, 26,916 lineal feet of power cabling, and 48,018 lineal feet of instrument cabling.
