Project Description
JH Kelly has been performing maintenance and capital work at the Kalama, Washington plant since the 1980s, when it was owned by Kalama Chemical. Over the years, we have maintained a continuous presence at the facility through multiple ownership transitions, including Rogers Sugar, Freedom Chemical, BFGoodrich, Noveon, Lubrizol, Emerald Performance Materials, and now Lanxess. During this time, we have provided ongoing maintenance and services throughout the facility, completing more than $50 million in stand-alone projects. These projects have varied in scope, including the installation of new tanks and towers, plant expansions, process modifications, valve and piping replacements, generator and transformer installations and replacements, equipment installations and replacements, annual shutdowns, and numerous other initiatives. We have self-performed mechanical piping, electrical, welding, civil/structural, and millwright work for both maintenance activities and project
execution.
