Project Description
JH Kelly supported Mod 3, the third and largest expansion of the D1X prototype fab on a confidential client’s existing high tech manufacturing campus in Hillsboro, OR. The new construction adjoined the previously constructed phases which remained operational during construction. This mod added an additional 1.5mm sf of manufacturing space to the facility. Our team was responsible for the fabrication and installation of 55,000 lf of pipe including everything from 3/4” copper to 78” carbon steel chilled water mains, structural steel, heat trace, and unistrut modules. Our scope included:
- Copper & steel wet-side mechanical piping
- Structural steel support
- Unistrut support structures
- Heat trace
- BIM modeling
