The new construction utilized DeafSpace standards to facilitate the best educational environment for the deaf and hard of hearing students that the campus caters to. The Divine Academic Building utilized mass timber heavily and the completed project included solar panels, EV charging, existing ground loop system feeding a new heat recovery chiller, and achieved LEED Gold. An additional approximately 1,936 sf renovation was added to the project scope via change order facilitating the conversion of an existing auto shop to a STEM lab.
