Instruments and controls are typically installed during the critical final phases of a project, when structural, piping and electrical activities have utilized most of the schedule. At JH Kelly, we know that the groundwork for a successful project must be laid right from the start.

It takes a contractor experienced with instrumentation and accelerated schedules to identify long lead items, assemble accurate and complete submittals, and coordinate timely delivery for a complete installation.

Our efforts in working closely with the owner’s representatives, design engineers, and other contractors are evident during smooth and timely start-ups.

We understand the value of coordinating exact instrument locations with our clients. We pre-determine locations of process points so pulse and signal tubing is ready to go in promptly.

Small steps such as verifying proper access for maintenance, coordinating special installation requirements, and assembling O&M manuals throughout the project pay big dividends during system check-out and start-up. JH Kelly maintains a complete inventory of NIST-certified calibration equipment and our mobile instrumentation trailers allow on-site calibration while providing a controlled environment for device storage.

But what sets us apart most is the relationship of trust and open communication we develop with our clients early in the project. Our core group of field engineers, technicians, and pipefitters is thoroughly versed in instrumentation and controls.

From design assistance through start-up, the quality of our performance is a function of our commitment, organization, and the depth of our experience.
