JH Kelly Awarded Construction Contract for ExxonMobil LSM Project

BILLINGS, MT – JH Kelly, LLC was recently awarded the Low Sulfur Mogas Project at the ExxonMobil Refinery in Billings, Montana.

The project is critical for the ExxonMobil Refinery to produce a low sulfur gasoline in order to comply with environmental compliance regulations. The sulfur extraction unit is a grass roots unit located inside the Billings Refinery and is scheduled to be complete by late summer 2003.

"We are excited to have landed this project and be a part of this world-class project team,” says Dave Senko, JH Kelly Vice President.

The engineering and procurement for the project is being done by MW Kellogg Constructors who will also serve as construction manager for ExxonMobil. JH Kelly will perform the structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scope of work with direct hire forces, while subcontracting the insulation and fireproofing scope. The transport and heavy lift of the large vessels and reactors is being done by AVS/Mammoet.

"In order to meet the deadline, our staff and crews will work steadily throughout the Montana winter in order to bring this project in on-time", said Senko. “We are looking forward to a successful project with ExxonMobil and MW Kellogg, as we re-establish our presence in the Billings area.”
