PMC is Rebranding as JH Kelly

December will mark four years since JH Kelly acquired Portland Mechanical Contractors.

In conjunction with JH Kelly’s 100th Anniversary, the PMC brand will be replaced by the JH Kelly brand.

This change is already in motion – you may have noticed that your tech arrived in a JH Kelly van or was wearing a JH Kelly shirt on their last call. As we head into 2023, you will see JH Kelly letterhead, email addresses, social media posts, invoicing, and enhancements to our website.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been working diligently to improve the quality and consistency of our service offerings.

Here are some things we’re proud of:

Building Strong Teams: We’ve doubled the number of our HVAC and Plumbing techs so we can quickly respond to your facility.

Tech Training: After analyzing the needs of our customers and skills of our techs, we’ve invested in
technical training for boilers, chillers, building automation & controls to make sure our team knows how
to diagnose and fix whatever challenge is thrown at us. We’re also working on soft skills because better communication equals better service.

Fleet Upgrades: All 115 Service Vans, KUVs, Service Body Trucks and Pickups operated by our Service and Special Project Group (SPG) teams have been replaced. We’ve made these fleet investments so our techs can be responsive, safe, and proud of their company.

New Tools & Equipment: We’ve upgraded the tools & equipment so that our techs have the right tool
at the right time in the right place. Our sheet metal shop now has the most capable coil line in the region.

As we continue to invest in our Service and SPG teams, here are some new things that we’re excited about:

Integrated Electrical Service: JH Kelly’s Electrical service team recently moved into our Milwaukie facility so they could be tighter with our SPG Teams as well as our 4 Service Departments (HVAC, Plumbing, Light Commercial, and Refrigeration). BuildOps: Over the last 18 months, we’ve been working hard to make sure you experience a seamless
transition to our new service operating platform – BuildOps. This platform will allow us to be better
organized behind the scenes, so our dispatch and service teams have all the data they need to keep track of our quotes, quickly dispatch an experienced tech, and give you a heads up on scheduled maintenance. Our techs will have an enhanced mobile platform to easily review call history and fill out detailed service reports with photos. Lastly, BuildOps will help us improve the timeliness of our billing.
