The 650,000-square-foot complex on Portland’s South Waterfront consists of two parts: the 12-story Skourtes Tower on the north and a five-story south wing connected by an atrium, along with underground parking. It includes lecture halls, classrooms labs, specialty research centers, OHSU School of Dentistry facilities, and offices for health professionals and educators from multiple institutions.
HVAC ductwork has to serve approximately 185,000 square feet of teaching space, 85,000 square feet of research space, 7,500 square feet for retail and food service activities, 16,000 square feet for building support and 430 new parking spaces, in addition to the atrium, open areas and walkways.
