Columbia Grain | Export Grain Terminal

Columbia Grain owns and operates 61 grain elevators in six Western states with a combined storage capacity of 1.3 million metric tons. The company purchases wheat, corn, and soybeans from over 5,000 producers and merchandises this grain to all major US domestic markets and 30 foreign countries. JH Kelly was awarded the project from a select bidders list. This new construction project added much needed grain cleaning capability and an additional 900,000 bushels of storage. Columbia Grain's annual handling volume is approximately nine million tons per year. The 43-acre facility at The Port of Portland's Terminal 5 is the company's primary gateway for export shipments. As a general contractor, JH Kelly worked with engineer partners to pour foundations and erect the large steel/aluminum silos that line the East site boundary.
