New Project – Center For Health And Healing-South!

Once again, and fresh off an opening of the new Collaborative Life Sciences Building, Oregon Health & Science University has awarded another phase of their South Waterfront expansion — the Center for Health and Healing-South project.  Hoffman Construction was selected as the general contractor, and JH Kelly was awarded the hydronic piping and wet-side plumbing scope of work.

The Center for Health & Healing South will include two buildings adjacent to their existing building at SW Moody & Gibbs St. The two buildings will be connected to each other and the existing OHSU Center for Health & Healing building via a set of sky bridges over SW Whitaker St and SW Bond St.

Block 29 will be an ambulatory care building with 360,000 sq ft of area, 60,000 sq ft of which will be used for Knight Cancer Clinical Trials. The proposed 12 story tall building will be built on top of an existing below grade parking garage, which is currently landscaped at the ground level. The 10 story tall Block 28 building be located on a site currently used as surface parking. The program for the building includes one level of below grade parking; retail and conference facilities on the ground floor; 4 levels of elevated parking; an elevated central utility plant; and 72,000 sq ft of guest housing at the top of the structure. The total area of the building will be 264,000 sq ft.
