JH Kelly Completed the 260,000 sq ft Lamb Weston Expansion in Hermiston, Oregon
JH Kelly was the General Contractor on the 260,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Lamb Weston Expansion in Hermiston, OR. We added a new processing line to the company’s existing facility. The $250 million investment in the new line increases the Hermiston plant’s production capacity by about 300 million pounds of potato annually.
The new Hermiston line is intended to support growth in North America, as well as exports to Asia where demand growth has been, and is expected to remain, strong. The expansion is expected to add approximately 170 full time positions.
The expansion project took 18 months to complete.
The line began operating May 29. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 13.
