Daily Journal Of Commerce Awards For Top Projects In 2015
Two projects involving JH Kelly mechanical services received Daily Journal of Commerce Top Project Awards for 2015.
Name “Project of the Year” and “Best Public Project”, the new Asian elephant exhibit at the Oregon Zoo was built in conjunction with Lease Crutcher Lewis of Portland.
JH Kelly installed the Life System Support (LSS) building which holds the mechanical pumps, sand filters, ozone equipment, chlorine system and elephant drum screen. The LSS building delivers the treated water through 7,000 lineal feet of multiple piping sizes underground to the elephant pool and wading pool with gravity return lines back to the building.
Hassalo on Eighth was named the winner of the private buildings category. JH Kelly provided the plumbing and wet mechanical work scopes for the three-story underground parking garage, the 21-story tower, the central utility plant upgrade, and natural organic recycling machine (an onsite waste treatment and re-use plant), named NORM.
