JH Kelly was awarded the full mechanical buildout on the Southwest Washington Medical Center tenant improvement of floors 4, 5 and 6 including adding additional water heater capacity to the 8-story tower. JH Kelly was contracted to perform the work on a GMP basis with all savings back to the owner. The project consisted of adding 80 patient rooms with JH Kelly self-performing all the plumbing and wetside HVAC piping. Subcontracted work included sheetmetal, controls, fire caulking, insulation, test and balance and medical gas certification. The project was completed in June 2009.
