OHSU Kohler Pavilion
Portland, OR

OHSU Patient Care Facility Exterior

OHSU constructed the new Kohler Pavilion at their main campus in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon. The 14-story building is attached to the south hospital and has an adjoining parking garage that extends South Campus Drive Road over the garage complex and ties into Sam Jackson Parkway. The new building houses patient care facilities for the upper floors of the building with the lower floors reserved for Surgery, Radiation and Oncology as well as a Center for Women's Health. The building's 8th floor will accommodate the new Arial Tram system that will connect the OHSU campus to the South Waterfront area of Portland next to the Willamette River.

JH Kelly performed the installation of the shell and core scope of work for the new tower, which includes all the chilled water distribution, sheet metal installation, Air Handling Units, pumps, heat exchangers, and water heaters as well as all plumbing services and medical gas systems. The project began in March 2004 with mechanical completion at the beginning of 2006.

Additionally, JH Kelly provided the mechanical services for the Phase 2 tenant improvements and interconnecting infrastructure including chilled water system upgrades, medical gas system service connections and equipment installation, as well as steam and condensate modifications and installations.
