Project Profile Mirabella
Portland, OR  JH Kelly has been hired to provide the mechanical and plumbing services on a new tower in the South Waterfront area. The project is designed to be a continuous care retirement facility, consisting of a single story underground garage, with a mezzanine storage level. Some unique features of the parking garage are the hydraulic "car stackers" that will provide additional parking spaces, a wood shop, kitchen prep area, and commercial laundry facilities. The above grade structure will consist of a 30 story mixed use tower development. The tower will house two restaurants, a swimming pool and spa, two beauty salons, as well as 41 special care nursing units, and nurses’ facilities. The balance of the tower will consist of 224 independent living units. The overall building will be 514,060 square feet.
JH Kelly's scope will consist of design assist underground and above ground plumbing systems, HVAC (wet and dry), HVAC controls, water and air balancing, commissioning and start-up assistance.
JH Kelly will also provide owner training on all building systems. The project began in April 2008 and is scheduled for completion in September 2010.
