LONGVIEW, WA - January 6, 2012 -- JH Kelly achieved a recordable incident rate of 0.86 for 2011, the lowest in company history.

"It is generally looked upon that any company below an incident rate of 1.0 is performing at a 'world class' level, and through the efforts of everyone at JH Kelly we now find ourselves in rare company for our industry," said Vice President, Safety Willy McOmie.  While JH Kelly's goal is zero injuries, we made significant progress in 2011 with seven months injury free.

McOmie added that in order to build on this record, JH Kelly employees need to continue developing better methods; stay focused on consistent pre-task planning; keep open lines of communication; and identify and utilize the best talent.
