Joshua James Vernon is currently in A-school for an assignment as a machinist mate (Navy).  He is in Connecticut and will be assigned to the USS Miami, a Los Angeles class attack submarine.  It has the distinction of seeing the most combat and firing the most weapons in wartime for the Los Angeles submarine class.  Kelly Vernon's son (Carpenter GF, Longview, WA).
