JH KELLY RECEIVES 2005 NPRA CONTRACTOR AWARD FOR MERITORIOUS SAFETY PERFORMANCE

LONGVIEW, WA – June 2, 2005 -- JH Kelly, LLC announced today that it received the 2005 National Petroleum Refiners Association (NPRA) Contractors Award for Meritorious Safety Performance for performing over 900,000 manhours with only one recordable injury on the BP Cherry Point Refinery Clean Fuels project.

This award is given to process area contractors on a per site basis who are nominated by a regular refinery or petrochemical facility NPRA member.  The NPRA safety awards program was developed by the association’s Fire and Accident Prevention Committee to promote accident prevention in the petroleum refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries, and to publicly recognize the excellent record of safety in operations the industry has complied.

"We are proud to receive this award because it recognizes the strong safety partnership our teams have with our clients," said Mason Evans, JH Kelly president.

NPRA members include more than 450 companies, including virtually all US refiners and petrochemical manufacturers.  Its members supply consumers with a wide variety of products and services used daily in homes and businesses including gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, lubricants, and the chemicals that serve as “building blocks” in making everything from plastics to clothing to medicine to computers.
