JH KELLY RECEIVES SECOND CONSECUTIVE ROSE AWARD

LONGVIEW, WA -- January 30, 2004 -- JH Kelly received its second consecutive Recognition of Safety Excellence (ROSE) Award from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Oregon-Columbia Chapter.  ROSE Award winners are selected based on their dedication and commitment to safety.

 JH Kelly won in the category of “Specialty Contractor: Over 1,000,000 Work Hours” in a tie with EC Company.   The panel of judges concluded that the award winners set the example as safety leaders in AGC and the construction industry.   Kelly was recognized for its use of programs such as management commitment and accountability, written safety and health program policies, demonstrated use of proven safety practices, regular job site safety inspections, active safety committees, employee involvement, employee training and adherence to safety rules and regulations.

 Terry Major, JH Kelly senior vice president, received the ROSE Award at the AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter annual conference awards luncheon.   Terry said, “We are gratified with our long history of safe service to our clients and we thank AGC for recognizing the commitment and pride we have in sending our employees home safely at the end of each workday.”
