Longview, WA – JH Kelly was recently awarded a multi-million dollar contract with Shell Oil Products, US to install new equipment at Shell’s Anacortes Refinery.

Crews will install a new Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) at the Anacortes facility.  This Unit will increase the overall reliability of the plant’s sulfur recovery system.

The contractors bidding this project were selected based on their demonstrated ability to meet stringent on-site safety requirements, to successfully execute a critical project in a relatively short duration, and their overall construction execution plans.

As the prime mechanical contractor, the JH Kelly project team will self-perform the piping installation, structural steel erection, and equipment/vessel installations as well as coordinate the subcontractors working on the site, including electrical.  Work will begin immediately with pre-planning.  Site mobilization begins in early January with a Mid-October completion date.  Peak manpower is expected to hit nearly 140 craftspeople.
